Introduction

Seasons of Change began as a way to encourage people to carve time out for creativity, meditation and all forms of art and to more closely observe the rhythms and sequences of the Natural World, which gives a break from a busy mind.  Then, through the process of doing that, they might feel a deeper connection to themselves, others and to nature. To help people continue this journey at home, we made a beautiful journal and printed it to be shared freely amongst Rewilding Voices participants.

Media

Over the years, I've made a lot of media to help showcase our work, singers and progress. Here are some of the videos and testimonials, which highlight people's journey through voice.

This helps you understand the impact and legacy of the voice work that I've undertaken over the last several years, and why this CPD is important.

This video gives us a basic introduction to the merits of Collaborative Vocal Improvisation (CVI)

Seasons of Change Journal

This is the Journal that we produced and used called Seasons Of Change, which is part of Rewilding Voices. We printed 200 copies and have shared widely amongst local communities engaging with the project.

"Collaborative Vocal Improvisation is a gateway to creativity and confidence for young people"

John Meredith, Head of Music and Events at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies

Singing in a relaxed and informal manner brings community together and helps people communicate across cultural and intergenerational barriers.

Why do we need CPD or Lifelong Learning? And why this one in particular?

When I first studied CVI with Briony Greenhill and Guillermo Rozenthuler, I knew that this art form was mysterious and magical in its capacity to connect, heal, give confidence, joy, process complex emotions and to develop the capacity to listen deeply in a world very immersed in visual throwaway content and social media. Its an art form that thrives in person and brings people together. It's the AI antidote and can't be replicated by a machine, it's unashamedly human and contains within it, poetry, music, dance, story telling and rhythm. I continue to work with Guillermo, as he creates and teaches on Singing Villages, bringing a historical practice back into the present, to restore connection and community cohesion.

The Journal as a Legacy Tool

As it is now, the journal is useful, although we need funds to reprint. But as a legacy, I would like to adapt the journal after consultation with local communities to perhaps create a resource for families or parents to work on with teenagers. A journal which gives some colourful and didactic suggestions for creative and artistic and meditative options in every season. Something that brings the family together, points for discussion, exercises that can be played out in an effort to heal, connect, and bring fun and inspiration into the household.
